Dear reader,

Thank you for keeping your fingers crossed. Unfortunately it didn’t help, because I wasn’t successful with the Big News. Doesn’t really matter what exactly it was, let’s just say that if I were successful, it would be extremely helpful and now I’ll have more struggle and difficulties not just with performance, but also with coping.

Two ways how this post might continue:

  1. a) tell you all about my disappointment and losing hope by blaming the Committee’s wrong (in my opinion) decision and from there list you all the things this will have influence and cause bad consequences OR
  2. b) tell you how I can adjust to this situation and I will, because obviously I can do it without that support (otherwise it wouldn’t have happened this way).

Well, neither really. Let’s do something else instead. This expanded weekend I’ve attended my first SF conference. It was one of the most intensive travels I’ve done, as each country has something special. The Netherlands has some charming chaotic creative open atmosphere, which is extremely pleasant and really intense at the same time.

As always, I went without expectations, so anything that happened was a unique event and relationship. I was very warmly welcomed and people were very interested in my work. As we shared experience, we discovered we have somehow similar amazing stories about how SF has changed our lives. Some of the attendees were world famous SF therapists, but very simple people and easily approachable. Talking to them and sharing with them has taught me something extremely important – so important that the big news didn’t upset me as much. It was realisation that I belong to a strong network of people, who share the same ideals, have similar goals and have walked the path or are walking it the way I’m walking mine. But of course everyone wearing their own shoes and walking in their own unique style.

So I’ll go on, keep going. I came home at 2 o’clock today and was already up at 6, really energized and determined to work. Work very hard, so I can be the best I can. Meaning giving my best. So for today, here’s a new Facebook page you might want to join to keep in touch. And many thanks again for keeping the fingers crossed. It mattered.
